Course Learning Objectives/Outcomes

By the end of the course, the Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist will be able to:
-Describe effects of alcohol abuse on physical health.
-Describe two behaviors of the addict.
-Name nine conflicts of addiction in client's personality.
-Explain resistance self-efficacy.
-Name five emotional processing in addiction. -Explain the percent of alcoholics achieve life-long abstinence with or without the AA approach.
-Explain “limited control.”
-Name the two thing for which “disease” of the addictive process is a metaphor.
-Explain why do some middle-class respondents have the ability to naturally recover.
